Loftus-Cheek was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace last season where his performances earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s squad for Russia 2018.
The midfielder is clearly keen to make an impression on Sarri as he bids to break into the Blues starting XI.
Jorginho has already arrived from Napoli to bolster the Italian’s new-look Chelsea midfield and Loftus-Cheek’s early return will give him a greater opportunity to adapt to Sarri’s philosophy and show his value.

The Englishman spent the second half of last season with Middlesbrough but made just four appearances, all as a substitute.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity, it’s all happened pretty quickly and I am happy to be here,” said Harrison.
“I heard about the interest last week whilst I was on pre-season with Manchester City and I’m looking forward to this new experience.
“Leeds United is a great club, there is a lot of history and I want to be a part of that, we want to get promoted this year and I hope to be able to help do that.
LATEST LEEDS UNITED NEWS
“I spoke with Pep Guardiola about Marcelo Bielsa and he had a lot of encouraging words and a lot of Pep’s ideas and philosophies are built around some of the same ones here as well, so obviously those similarities are helpful.”
Harrison is Leeds’ fourth signing of the summer. Chelsea duo Lewis Baker and Jamal Blackman have joined on loan, while left-sided player Barry Douglas signed from Wolves on a three-year deal.
Harrison could make his Leeds debut against Stoke at Elland Road on Sunday, a game you can listen to live on talkSPORT 2 from 16:30.

The five heroes who scored three free-kicks in a single game
The free-kick is always a thrill to witness. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sings Allez, Allez, Allez with fans in a pub on pre-season tour of America
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp surprised supporters when he gatecrashed a special fan event ahead of the club’s pre-season game against Manchester United in Michigan.
Musician and Reds fan Jamie Webster was on stage providing the entertainment, as he so often has, when Klopp walked in, leaving the singer in stunned silence.
And so the only thing he could do was belt out ‘Allez, Allez, Allez’ with everyone, including the boss, joining in.
Webster’s version of the song provided the soundtrack to Liverpool’s march to the Champions League final, which they lost 3-1 to Real Madrid.
The European campaign may have ended disappointingly, but the Anfield faithful definitely enjoyed themselves along the way and this song climbed the download tracks.
Liverpool’s players then went and thrashed United 4-1 with Xherdan Shaqiri scoring a spectacular overhead kick.
