Liverpool win by SEVEN away for first time in history as Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and co deliver extraordinary display of finishing at Crystal Palace
Liverpool delivered one of the all-time great Premier League displays to beat Crystal Palace 7-0 at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The Reds won by seven goals away from home for the first time in top-flight history with one of the most devastating displays you will ever see.
Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah both got two, while Takumi Minamino, Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson also chipped in – and every goal was special.
It means Jurgen Klopp’s men will be top of the tree at Christmas for the third season in a row – and on this evidence – they will take some stopping this season.
Minamino started the rout with his first Premier League goal for the club, a tidy finish inside the box which turned out to be the least attractive goal of the bunch.
While it sounds strange now, Palace actually dominated for a spell with the score at 1-0 and really ought to have equalised, but then some clinical finishing put the game out of their reach.
A brilliant spin and finish from Mane doubled the lead and then Firmino started and finished a fantastic move to put the Reds three up at half-time, perhaps undeservedly.
But there was nothing unjust about what happened in the second-half.
Henderson curled one into the corner from the edge of the box before Firmino went and made it five with a lovely clipped finish.
Salah didn’t actually start the match, but he finished it with an assist and two goals despite playing for just 33 minutes, hitting a quickfire double at the end – the second of which was totally outrageous.
